Alberta Performing Arts Academy is founded on a deep commitment to provide the best possible music, dance and acting instruction for children and Youth. The curriculum draws on the professional expertise of our teachers in the areas of dance; the music methodologies of Suzuki, Zoltlon Kodally and Jane Edgran; and upon professionally trained actors. Dale Clark, principal operator and owner of Alberta Performing Arts Academy, has a Masters Fine Arts Diploma from the University of Calgary, and a four year FRSA in Theatre Arts from Rosebud School of the Arts. She has directed children’s choirs with many Music Festival Awards and Provincial recommendations, Her acting credits include A Montgomery Christmas, Christmas in Rosebud, For Home and Country, and Love Child. Her directing credits include the following musicals: Oliver, Honk, Seussical, 101 Dalmations, Aladdin, Annie, Godspell, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella. A trained Suzuki teacher, she holds Honours Grace IX Royal Conservatory, and History and Harmony III. Her piano and choir students students have found their place in the professional world as professional singers on stage in theatre; in choirs and in opera; as university graduates with music majors and teachers, and dozens more who became accomplished musicians with a love of music. Whatever path her students have persued, Clark believes every child should have access to a a music education because she believes studying music in childhood results in better human beings.
Miss Irene, owner and principal operator of Footworks Dance Academy, has emerged as an outstanding teacher, conducting workshops and training sessions for dance educators nationwide. She is recognized for her excellence in teaching ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre. One of her most remarkable creative skills is her ability to convey a story through dance, fostering a unique connection with her students. Alberta Performing Arts Academy is thrilled to have Miss Irene as a regular instructor at all of our workshops. Miss Irene holds a Bachelor of Education and is a professionally trained and experienced dance teacher
